Olivia Lorber

Olivia Lorber is a Baltimore-born artist living and working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her figure paintings draw from 70’s aesthetics in Punk graphic design, video games and pop-culture of the early 2000s, and countercultural fashion. Olivia works to define traditional academic figure painting through a variety of media and manipulations of the body. By utilizing pattern, vibrant colors, text, and portraiture, she creates bold mementos of her lived experience. Frequently focussing on themes of self-expression, feminine identity, and representation.
