It was interesting to hear the perspective of Todd Mrozinski in class the other day. Since he is  both an artist and a writer it gives more perspective to the ongoing project of writing this article. I enjoyed seeing his art work along with hearing about what he's written. The most helpful advice he gave us was in respect of going about an interview. This is something that I was a little concerned about with this project since I have not conducted an interview before and I have definitely not conducted an interview with someone who I may admire or respect greatly. Todd’s advice and insight was greatly appreciated in that respect. It was also interesting to hear about his residency. Even Though this may not directly relate to the coming project it was interesting to hear about what he's done and how that affected both his career as an artist and as a writer. I thought it was also interesting how Todd explained that his writing and art went hand in hand and how his writing opened up new possibilities and opportunity in his art practice. How his writing opened him up to new galleries and in doing so opened him up to new patrons. How his writing also inspire new artwork and directions within his work. I hope that I can do something similar in respects to this project.
