My way of approaching the homework was to first read the Lovely LUNA makes local, Latinx art more accessible article, then the OnlineWriting pdf from Molly Snyder. Molly's points and tips are shown and implemented in the article, and I never noticed the use of writing in an active voice until reading the examples. Definitely had a "oh yeah, duh" moment when rereading and seeing the direct and sweet language talking about LUNA. As. someone with a short attention span I appreciated the note about keeping it direct and to the point.
The article about Luna followed these tips very well. There were multiple quotes from the people involved with the organization yet none of them dictated the story being told, they were all supplementary to the author's voice. I think that was a feat in itself because most of the article was actually quotes. It was short and very informative, hopefully what Molly dreamed of for this collaboration between OnMilwaukee and MIAD.
